NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California, seeks an Avionics Systems Engineer II to join the Avionics Systems Engineering Group. The role delivers system designs, requirements, and interface documents for flight projects, with leadership responsibilities at the task level throughout the design, I&T, and delivery lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will have a Systems/ Electrical/ Computer Engineering background (Bachelor’s required, Master’s or PhD preferred), strong communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or similar technical discipline
• Master’s degree in similar disciplines with typically a minimum of 1 year related experience
• PhD in similar discipline with typically a minimum of 0 years related experience

Responsibilities

• Generate requirements from avionics subsystem through card level and create design/interface documents
• Develop and execute verification and validation plans
• Collaborate with Cognizant Engineers, Design Engineers and I&T Engineers through the lifecycle
