Job summary

NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena is seeking an Electronics Engineer IV to design and test avionics hardware from concept through delivery. You will collaborate with design and systems engineers and manage lab verification across projects.

The role emphasizes analog/digital circuit design, FPGA work, and hands-on testing with state-of-the-art lab equipment, all within a high-reliability environment. A senior-level degree and extensive aerospace experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or higher with substantial related work experience.
• Strong analog and digital circuit design expertise and lab testing capability.
• Experience with FPGA designs and various communication protocols.
• Familiarity with design/simulation tools and test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, prototype and test analog and digital circuits for avionics systems.
• Schematic capture and PCB layout using standard EDA tools while meeting high-reliability standards.
• Set up lab test equipment to debug, troubleshoot, and validate hardware prototypes.
• Create and maintain engineering drawings, circuit analyses, test procedures, and design review materials.
• Lead other engineers to solve technical problems during design and lab testing.
