Job summary

GITAI USA in Torrance, CA is seeking a PCB Design Engineer, Avionics Hardware to own board-level electrical hardware design for spacecraft and robotic systems. You will design, fabricate, assemble, bring-up, and test PCBs and collaborate with mechanical, firmware, software, and systems teams to integrate hardware into the vehicle.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and 3+ years of PCB design with Altium, plus experience with early-stage hardware startups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent hands-on hardware experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on PCB design experience using Altium or similar ECAD tool.
• Experience owning PCB designs from schematic capture through layout and test.
• Strong understanding of PCB fabrication, DFM/DFA/DFT, and vendor feedback.
• Ability to collaborate with mechanical, firmware, software, and systems teams.

Responsibilities

• Own PCB design for avionics hardware from architecture through test.
• Design schematics and layouts in Altium with stackup and fabrication notes.
• Make trade-offs across electrical performance, manufacturability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, software, systems, and manufacturing teams.
• Bring up and debug PCBAs with lab equipment and test fixtures.
• Create engineering docs: schematics, layouts, BOMs, fabrication packages, test plans.
