Job summary

SAIC in Chantilly, VA, seeks an AI&T Systems Engineer to provide SETA support for accelerated space programs. You will guide concept development, verification, and deployment of critical space systems bridging design and deployment.

Responsibilities include overseeing rapid assembly, integration, test, and launch readiness, plus engagement with government leadership and contractors. TS/SCI clearance and strong systems engineering background required to excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor7s degree with 5+ years of experience or Master7s degree with 3+ years of experience.
• Experience providing systems engineering support for satellite systems.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment with DOD, military/civilian personnel and industry partners.
• Ability to facilitate technical discussions with SMEs and communicate to senior decision makers.

Responsibilities

• Provide SETA support to Government Program Managers and Directors for accelerated space acquisition and program execution.
• Oversee rapid assembly, integration, test, launch, and readiness of a major satellite system.
• Oversee AI&T activities to meet technical, cost, schedule and performance objectives.
• Lead ERBs and contractor reviews, manage anomalies, mitigate risks, and ensure mission readiness.
• Support acquisition plans, SOW reviews, requirements updates, and technical evaluations at milestone reviews.
• Interface daily with Government leadership and contractors to provide programmatic recommendations and status updates.
• Support major program reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR) to assess maturity and readiness.
• Develop and review system requirements, CONOPS, risk assessments, and technical documentation.
