Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer within the Data Science and Artificial Intelligence Department (DSAID). The selected candidate will work full-time on-site at our El Segundo, CA facility (also Chantilly, VA or Colorado Springs, CO) to research, prototype, and deploy AI-enabled tools across space enterprise.

Responsibilities include developing ML experiments, evaluating models, collaborating across teams, and presenting results to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, CS, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Physics or Mathematics
• 2 years of industry experience in Data Science or Machine Learning
• Proficiency in Python
• Development of ML models and inference pipelines
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux operating systems

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute machine learning and data science experiments (NLP, computer vision, time series, reinforcement learning)
• Evaluate technologies and models for scalable, mission-critical applications
• Collaborate with teams to deliver features and products
• Present written and verbal results to customer stakeholders
