Job summary

SAIC seeks an AI/ML Engineer to support Government satellite programs in Earth orbit analyses. You will use Python, C++, and MATLAB to develop new tools, perform EDA, and design ML algorithms for recognition and tracking of satellites.

Collaborate with astrodynamics, sensors, and AI/ML experts to simulate operations at scale, with opportunities to present findings to senior government customers. Expect a challenging on-site role in Northern Virginia.

Qualifications

• Education in CS, data science, applied math or related field.
• Experience in astrodynamics or satellite-related analyses.
• Programming in Python, C++, MATLAB; TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Exploratory Data Analysis to identify patterns for feature engineering.
• Design, develop, and evaluate ML algorithms (supervised, unsupervised, RL).
• Build, train, and tune predictive models using state-of-the-art tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate problems into AI/ML solutions.
• Implement and optimize algorithms for anomaly detection, prediction, classification, and NLP.
• Deploy ML models into production and establish scalable pipelines.
• Analyze model performance and iterate with testing strategies and hyperparameter tuning.
