Job summary

Discovery Land Company in La Quinta, California, seeks a Spa & Locker Room Attendant to deliver five-star guest experiences. The role supports Spa operations, locker room cleanliness, lounge service, and team coordination during the winter-spring season.

Flexibility for weekends and holidays is required; responsibilities include guest liaison, room turnover, beverage service, and maintaining club standards. This is a full-time seasonal position Oct–June.

Spa & Locker Room Attendant

Reports to: Spa Manager
The Madison Club is seeking an energetic, service-oriented, and self-motivated Spa & Locker Room Attendant to provide an exceptional five-star experience for our Members and Guests. This highly visible role is essential to the daily operation of both the Spa and Ladies Locker Room and serves as a vital liaison between the Spa Reception team, Therapists, and Members.

The Madison Club operates during the winter and spring season. This is a full-time seasonal position from October through June. Candidates must have a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays. PTO requests during March and April (our busiest event and festival months) are generally not approved.

Key Responsibilities
Member Experience
  • Deliver exceptional service to Members and Guests at all times.
  • Welcome Members warmly by name whenever possible and create a friendly, engaging environment through genuine conversation.
  • Build positive relationships with Members by anticipating needs and providing personalized service.
  • Escort spa guests throughout the locker room and spa facilities while explaining amenities and services.
  • Ensure Members feel comfortable, relaxed, and cared for throughout their visit.
Juice & Smoothie Bar / Lounge Service
  • Operate the Ladies Lounge juice and smoothie bar.
  • Prepare smoothies, juices, coffees, teas, and other beverages according to Club standards.
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately and provide attentive lounge service.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and inventory of the beverage station.
  • Deliver prompt, courteous service while maintaining presentation standards.
Spa & Locker Room Operations
  • Maintain impeccable cleanliness throughout the locker room, spa, lounge, treatment rooms, showers, vanities, restrooms, and outdoor relaxation areas.
  • Restock towels, robes, sandals, lockers, toiletries, water, beverages, amenities, and retail displays throughout the day.
  • Remove soiled linens and maintain organization of the linen room.
  • Ensure treatment rooms are properly reset and prepared between services.
  • Monitor facility appearance continuously and address cleanliness concerns immediately.
Team Support
  • Serve as a liaison between Spa Coordinator, Therapists, and Members by communicating schedule updates, member arrivals, special requests, and operational needs.
  • Assist therapists with room turnovers and operational support to ensure appointments remain on schedule.
  • Support Spa Coordinator during busy periods by answering phones, assisting Members, or directing guests as needed.
  • Assist with monthly linen and inventory counts.
  • Support fellow team members throughout the spa whenever additional assistance is needed.
Operational Excellence
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm, positive attitude.
  • Prioritize multiple tasks without sacrificing service quality.
  • Demonstrate initiative by identifying tasks that need attention without waiting for direction.
  • Maintain all health, sanitation, and safety standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

  • Previous hospitality, luxury service, restaurant, lounge, country club, or spa experience preferred.

The Company’s good faith estimate of the hourly rate it expects to pay for this role is $18- $21 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
