Job summary

Hawkeye-Gold-LLC in Ankeny, IA seeks a Merchandising Assistant to support our Soybean Crush operation. The role collaborates with processing plants and customers to ensure transactional accuracy and smooth execution of daily activities.

You will work with Traders, Logistics Specialists, and Merchandising Assistants to build relationships, share ideas, and celebrate successes while maintaining organized records and supporting accounting functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business, Accounting, or related field preferred.
• Agricultural and/or logistics experience is a plus, but not required.
• Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process netback documents for soybean crush plants
• Generate and process sales invoices for crush customers
• Collaborate with traders and the logistics team to resolve issues and ensure timely resolution
• Process accounts payable transactions for payment via ACH, wire, or check
• Maintain accurate, well-organized files in shared drives and email inboxes
• Provide general support to the merchandising and accounting teams
• Drive a culture of safety, accountability, opportunistic curiosity and contributes to creating an environment where people want to work.
• Perform other duties as assigned
