Job summary

Abbott is hiring a Corporate Financial Reporting SOX and Policy Manager to oversee the Sarbanes-Oxley program for Corporate Financial Reporting and select international affiliates. The role maintains the Corporate Finance Manual, coordinates policy updates, and provides interpretation and training to the broader finance organization.

It regularly engages with internal and external auditors to ensure timely compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 7–9 years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, internal controls, or audit.
• Strong understanding of internal controls over financial reporting and SOX compliance requirements.
• Experience reviewing internal control documentation, testing results, and control deficiencies.
• Strong project-management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with senior financial management.

Responsibilities

• Manage SOX program activities for Corporate Financial Reporting and selected international affiliates.
• Coordinate completion of SOX 404 and 302 requirements and maintain program schedules.
• Ensure quality of SOX work and compliance with program standards.
• Provide guidance and training on SOX requirements to finance staff.
• Lead Corporate Finance Policy Management and maintenance of the Finance Manual.
• Develop and support training and communications related to Corporate Finance Manual policies.
