Job summary

Uber Technologies Inc. in San Francisco, CA, is seeking a Manager within the Financial Risk Management Advisory team to lead SOX readiness, control design, and risk governance for a global, highly regulated business.

You will mentor junior staff, partner with internal and external audit teams, and drive process improvements using analytics and AI to strengthen risk oversight and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in SOX, internal audit, or public accounting (Big 4 a plus).
• CPA, CA, CIA, CISA or equivalent is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead SOX readiness assessments and drive control scoping.
• Evaluate ICFR design, map assertions to controls, and monitor effectiveness.
• Mentor and develop junior team members; provide feedback and growth opportunities.
• Serve as primary liaison to business process owners and audit teams.
• Promote risk awareness and facilitate training across business areas.
• Identify and remediate control deficiencies with action plans and follow-up.
• Drive process improvements via automation and data analytics.
• Prepare and present status reports on SOX compliance and risk to FRM leadership.
• Stay updated on SOX, PCAOB standards and SEC guidance.
