Job summary

Uber is seeking a Senior on the Financial Risk Management (FRM) Advisory team in San Francisco to safeguard financial data, strengthen SOX controls, and drive process improvements in a global, integrity-driven company.

In this role, you will lead IT control evaluations, collaborate with auditors and control owners across Engineering, Product, and Finance, and champion automation and risk-informed decision making. You will be eligible for bonuses, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience in auditing or IT controls within platform-based tech companies.
• Familiar with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native platforms.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Risk Advisory & Governance: lead advisory to IT owners for internal control environment and SOX compliance.
• Control Evaluation and Monitoring: perform end-to-end ICFR evaluations for IT controls and map financial assertions to controls.
• Stakeholder Management: build relationships with auditors, control owners across Engineering, Product, and Finance.
• Deficiency Management and Remediation: identify control deficiencies, root cause analysis, action plans and monitor remediation.
• Learning and Development: promote risk awareness via training sessions for designated areas.
• Continuous Improvement: drive automation and tooling to enhance IT SOX program and audit readiness.
• Regulatory Compliance: monitor changes in SOX, PCAOB and SEC guidance.
• Reporting and Analysis: prepare clear reports for FRM leadership with actionable insights.
