Job summary

The Sow Farm Supervisor reports to the General Manager in the Sow division and focuses on leadership, delegation, and collaboration with Sow Farm Managers to meet farm and company goals, while upholding biosecurity programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in management or relevant experience.
• Proficient with computers, smartphones, spreadsheets and databases.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Communicate and promote Holden Farm’s core values and goals to employees.
• Provide leadership to your teams through solid communication, proactive prioritization, and effective delegation.
• Effectively collaborate with Sow Farm Supervisors and other Management team members to reach farm and company goals.
• Attract, develop, and motivate employees while effectively delegating and measuring performance.
• Analyze the root cause of performance issues and execute action to restore performance.
• Collaborate with Sow Farm Managers to define appropriate staffing levels and work to maintain that level consistently.
• Participate in the onboarding of new employees and create an environment that is welcoming and promotes their growth and development.
• Coach employees on performance evaluations and development plans.
• Encourage employee development by identifying opportunities for growth within sow farms and company.
• Understand, follow, and uphold Holden Farms' Biosecurity Programs.
