Job summary

Bethanyswine is seeking a Site Manager to lead farm production across gestation and farrowing units. You will train staff, enforce production protocols, oversee inventory including swine and semen, and ensure accurate payroll and reporting processes.

The role requires supervisory experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to communicate with shareholders and management. Weekend work, safety training, and compliance with animal welfare are essential.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required; 2 years post-secondary in agriculture preferred.
• Experience: 4+ years livestock experience and 2 years supervisory experience with HS diploma; 1 year swine experience plus 1 year supervisory with 2 years post-secondary ag education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and train employees to follow production protocols and procedures.
• Complete policing routine to monitor protocols, production, and efficiencies.
• Ensure accurate inventory management of swine, semen ordering and supplies.
• Monitor feed inventory and place orders as needed.
• Set goals with employees and monitor progress to maximize production.
• Analyze financial reporting and adjust to meet or exceed budget; perform SOAP analysis where applicable.
• Train assistant managers and staff on financial aspects and how performance affects finances.
• Complete or supervise reporting via website, fax, emails, etc.
• Participate with HR in recruiting, interviewing and retaining farm employees.
• Communicate effectively at all levels of farm involvement.
• Maintain organized workdays using task sheets and schedules.
• Provide shareholder communications on pig deliveries and vet recommendations.
