Job summary

Bethanyswine is seeking a motivated on-site farm worker to assist in sow and gilt production, following farm protocols to improve efficiency and welfare. You will learn and perform daily tasks, maintain accurate records, and support management with health and safety practices on the unit.

This position offers practical training, teamwork in a rural swine setting, and opportunities to grow skills in animal care, hygiene, feed management, and safety protocols, including bio-security measures.

Qualifications

• No formal experience required, on-the-job training provided.
• Experience with livestock is a plus but not mandatory.
• Background in animal care and welfare is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Follow all production protocols to maximize sow and gilt production.
• Complete daily production paperwork accurately and on time.
• Communicate effectively with team and farm management.
• Maintain clean and organized gestation and farrowing areas.
• Adhere to bio-security and safety procedures at all times.
