Southwest Regional Construction Lead

Job summary

Zipline seeks a Regional Construction Manager to own and drive ground infrastructure projects regionally. You will manage from contractor selection through to site construction, coordinating with internal teams and external partners to expand Zipline’s drone delivery network.

You’ll lead entitlements, bids, schedules, and compliance efforts, collaborating with Real Estate, Government Affairs, Finance, Legal, and Engineering to secure approvals and ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in real estate development or construction.
• Experience managing entitlements and permits with AHJs.
• Ability to travel 75%+ frequently.
• Strong communication and leadership to align stakeholders and provide updates.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction projects, site infrastructure, and real estate development with targets.
• Lead pre-construction strategies to streamline permits.
• Build relationships with City Managers and inspectors to secure approvals.
• Collaborate with jurisdictions and legal teams to enable drone delivery.
• Coordinate with Real Estate and Government Affairs to align timelines.
• Source and manage contractors across trades.
• Identify and mitigate risks in pre-construction and construction phases.
• Engage with partners' Real Estate and Government Affairs teams to align expectations.
• Oversee bid, pre-construction, construction and site commissioning phases.
