Job summary

Metric Geo seeks a Director of Construction to lead Power Delivery programs across the Southeast from Atlanta. You will provide senior leadership for Transmission, Distribution and Substation construction, driving safety, schedule, cost control and client relationships.

The role oversees multiple projects, strategic workforce planning, and mentorship of Project Executives, Project Managers and field leaders, with a focus on EPC delivery and regional growth.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of construction experience in power/utility markets.
• Experience leading Transmission, Distribution, Substation construction.
• Track record managing large, complex utility or EPC projects.
• Experience overseeing multiple projects, teams and regional operations.
• Strong understanding of safety, project controls, contracts, estimating and commercial performance.
• Experience managing client relationships with major U.S. utilities.
• Proven ability to develop and mentor construction leadership teams.
• Strong commercial and financial understanding.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related discipline preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction operations across Transmission, Distribution and Substation projects.
• Provide executive oversight across multiple major utility programs.
• Manage project performance across safety, quality, schedule, cost and profitability.
• Lead and develop Project Executives, Project Managers, Construction Managers and field leadership.
• Partner with engineering, procurement and project controls teams to ensure EPC delivery.
• Build and maintain relationships with utilities, contractors, subcontractors and industry partners.
• Support pursuit strategy, estimating and proposals for major projects.
• Review project risks, forecasts, budgets and resource requirements.
• Drive operational improvements and standardized construction processes across the region.
• Support workforce planning and growth of Southeast Power Delivery team.
