Job summary

Blue Star Donuts in Portland seeks part-time Retail Team Members who thrive on talking with people and sharing our donut-first experience. You will greet guests, craft beverages, and manage in-store packaging with care while maintaining product knowledge and accurate cash handling.

This role emphasizes Stellar Hospitality and a positive, energetic presence in a fast-paced setting. Location is South Waterfront; availability includes weekends and both opening and closing shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or food service is preferred.
• Must be able to work weekends and both opening and closing shifts.
• Strong communication and friendly, energetic demeanor required.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional hospitality and create a welcoming guest experience.
• Greet customers and engage in positive interactions.
• Package in-store, online, and delivery orders with accurate presentation.
• Prepare and serve espresso-based drinks and other beverages per standards.
• Maintain knowledge of products and allergy information.
• Handle cash and POS transactions accurately.
• Keep area clean and sanitize daily/weekly as required.

Salary Range: $16.30 - $24.30

Location: South Waterfront

Required Availability: Weekends & Weekdays, Opening (6:15a-12:15p) & Closing (12:15p-6p)

Retail Team Member Position Details:

What You'll Do as a Retail Team Member

• Provide exceptional hospitality and create a welcoming guest experience.
• Greet customers and engage in friendly, fun, and positive interactions.
• Package in-store, online, and delivery orders with accuracy and aesthetic presentation.
• Craft and serve a variety of high-quality espresso-based drinks, coffee, matcha, and specialty beverages according to company standards.
• Maintain knowledge of all products, including donuts, beverages, and allergy information.
• Handle cash and POS transactions accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards, completing daily and weekly cleaning assignments.
