Job summary

Scoot Education is seeking substitute classroom support staff to supervise students across classrooms, playgrounds, and cafeterias. You will help maintain a safe and inclusive environment and encourage daily student participation.

Background checks are required, and pay is hourly. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree or college credits, and you should have strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, associate’s degree or college credits required.
• Three professional references, including at least one from a previous supervisor.
• State & federal background checks required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support students in classroom, playground, or cafeteria.
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment and encourage engagement.
• Manage classroom routines, behavior, and transitions following lesson plans.
• Communicate clearly with school staff and leave brief notes for the returning teacher.

Daily Pay Range:

Pay will vary for day-to-day assignments and is typically more for long-term placements. Pay varies by certification, school, and assignment.

Role Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree, associate’s degree or college credits

• Have a teaching credential/certificate or 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit


• Have previous experience in special education settings
