Job summary

Scoot Education is seeking dedicated substitutes and paraprofessionals to support students across classrooms and school settings in California. You will supervise students, foster a safe learning environment, and help maintain routines while following provided lesson plans.

Strong communication with staff and a growth mindset are essential. Opportunities vary by assignment with weekly direct deposit and paid training.

Daily Pay Range:

Pay will vary for day-to-day assignments and is typically more for long-term placements. Pay varies by certification, school, and assignment.

Role Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree, associate’s degree or college credits


• Three professional references, including at least one from a previous supervisor


• State & federal background checks

• Manage classroom routines, behavior, and transitions, following any lesson plans left by the teacher


• Communicate clearly with school staff


• Leave brief notes or feedback for the returning teacher
