Job Summary

As a Sous Chef II, you will assist in the overall success of the food program and oversee culinary functions. Your responsibilities include planning, ordering, inventory, and food preparation, ensuring adherence to client culture, health regulations, and company standards for food quality, freshness, and presentation. You will motivate, train, and direct back-of-house staff to meet operational goals and customer expectations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist in preparing and cooking various food items.
  • Help plan and create menus.
  • Implement new culinary programs with the marketing and culinary teams.
  • Manage cost controls and expenditures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • At least 3 years of related culinary experience, including 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, healthcare, or related food services.
  • Knowledge of food trends, quality, sanitation, safety, cost controls, and presentation.
  • Ability to set up and distribute production sheets.
  • Leadership, training, management, and coaching skills.
  • ServSafe or Department of Health Certification preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, including Excel.
  • Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts preferred.
