Job Summary
  • RELOCATION ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE

As a Sous Chef II, you will assist in the overall success of the food program and oversee culinary functions. Responsibilities include planning, ordering, inventory, and food preparation, while adhering to client culture, health regulations, and company standards for food quality, freshness, and presentation. You will motivate, train, develop, and direct back-of-house staff to meet operational objectives and ensure customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist in preparing and cooking various food items.
  • Help plan and create menus.
  • Implement new culinary programs with marketing and culinary teams.
  • Manage cost controls and expenditures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • At least 3 years of culinary experience, including 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, healthcare, or related food services.
  • Knowledge of food industry trends, quality, sanitation, safety, food cost controls, and presentation.
  • Ability to set up and distribute production sheets.
  • Leadership, training, management, and coaching skills.
  • ServSafe or Department of Health Certification preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel.
  • Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts preferred.
