Salary: $65,000-$70,000

Job Summary

As a Sous Chef II, you will assist in the success of the food program and oversee culinary functions. Your responsibilities include planning, ordering, inventory management, and food preparation, ensuring adherence to client culture, health regulations, and company standards. You will also motivate, train, develop, and direct back-of-house staff to meet operational objectives and customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing and cooking various food items.
  • Help plan and create menus.
  • Implement new culinary programs with the marketing and culinary teams.
  • Manage cost controls and expenditures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of culinary experience, including 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, healthcare, or related food service operations.
  • Knowledge of food industry trends, quality, sanitation, safety, and food cost controls.
  • Ability to set up and distribute production sheets.
  • Leadership, training, management, and coaching skills.
  • ServSafe or Department of Health Certification preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel.
  • An Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts is preferred.
