An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Pastry Supervisor to oversee the preparation of baked goods and desserts. Responsible for all preparation of required baked goods, desserts, and confections, ensuring they are prepared in accordance with property specifications and standards, while providing supervision to all pastry employees.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred, with two to four years of baking experience. ACF apprenticeship or accredited culinary program is preferred.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Appropriate licenses as required. ServSafe certification or ability to obtain it is required. Knowledge of HACCP standards is required. Strong attention to detail skills are necessary.
This position requires a Level 4 Gaming License.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as policies, procedures, and maintenance instructions. Effective communication skills for responding to inquiries from employees or guests, both one-on-one and in small groups.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to perform basic math operations—adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing—in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense reasoning to various situations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach, and communicate verbally and non-verbally. Must frequently lift/move up to 25 pounds. Visual abilities required include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Typically involves working near moving mechanical parts with a loud environment; casino setting may be smoky. Reasonable accommodations can be made for disabilities.
