Job summary

HEI Hotels and Resorts' Tapatio Springs Hill Country Resort in Boerne, TX is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to lead kitchen operations across our hotel restaurant and room service. This on-site role requires strong leadership and culinary expertise to deliver high-quality, consistent dishes.

You will manage daily production, staff development, cost controls, and ensure sanitary, compliant kitchen operations.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of post-high school education; culinary education desirable.
• Five+ years of related kitchen experience, hotel background preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production, prep, and presentation for hotel restaurants and room service.
• Manage kitchen staff; hire, train, develop, coach, and evaluate performance.
• Schedule and maintain sanitation; ensure safe, sanitary environment.
• Monitor labor and food costs; report on budgets and performance.
• Assist Executive Chef with menu costing and seasonal menus.
• Stand-in for Executive Chef when needed.
