Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is hiring a Sous Chef in Kansas City, MO to lead culinary operations in a healthcare setting. You will supervise and assist in the preparation and cooking of meals, develop daily menus with the Executive Chef, and support cost controls and ordering.

Qualifications

• AS or equivalent experience in culinary field.
• Progressive culinary/kitchen management experience is preferred.
• Experience in high-volume, complex foodservice operations is highly desirable.
• Institutional and batch cooking experience is helpful.
• Knowledge of food trends, cost controls, sanitation and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and expenditures for the account.
• Assists the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus.
• Produces and execute catering events.
• Rolls out new culinary programs with company marketing and culinary team.
