Job summary

Unidine is hiring immediately for a full time Sous Chef at University of Michigan Health West in Wyoming, MI. You will support the Executive Chef, manage cooks and food-service staff, and ensure production standards are met.

Requires a valid ServSafe certification and prior culinary experience. Fixed pay rate is $20.00 per hour with full-time schedule, Monday to Friday and rotating weekends. Join one of the nation’s top hospitality teams delivering compassionate service.

Qualifications

• A valid ServSafe certification is required.
• Previous culinary experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares food according to approved recipes and production standards.
• Supervises hourly food service associates, including scheduling, payroll, and training.
• Stores food following safety procedures and maintains sanitation of equipment and area.
• Ensures proper food handling, portion control and serving temperatures.
• Interacts with customers to resolve complaints and communicates with supervisor.
• Monitors inventory and deliveries and informs supervisor when supplies are low.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
