Job summary

Bon Appétit Management Company is hiring a full-time Sous Chef for Saint Martin's University in Lacey, WA. The role supports the Executive Chef, coordinates kitchen activity, and ensures service standards are met.

Two to five years of kitchen experience and prior administrative leadership are required. Schedule is Sunday through Thursday; pay range is hourly. Online applications accepted only.

Qualifications

• Two to five years of professional kitchen experience.
• Must have previous administrative and leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards.
• Supervises hourly food service associates.
• Stores food in designated areas following sanitation procedures.
• Ensures proper food handling, presentation, portion control and temperatures.
• Maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies and utensils.
• Interacts with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Demonstrates understanding of daily menu items and explains them to staff and customers.
• Keeps up with peak production and service hours.
• Monitors inventory and deliveries; tracks production, consumption and waste.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
