Job summary

Lil' Ba-Ba-Reeba! in Chicago's River North is hiring a Sous Chef with 2 years of sous chef experience. You will lead BOH shifts, manage kitchen operations and maintain recipe books with the GM. Competitive salary and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of sous chef experience in a full-service restaurant.
• Ability to lead and manage the kitchen staff.

Responsibilities

• Run BOH shifts and oversee food prep, inventory, and kitchen operation.
• Lead BOH pre-shift meetings and line checks.
• Maintain recipe books with GM/manager.
• Perform regular line checks to ensure menu quality.
• Purchase and order food products and supplies.
• Assist with tracking and controlling food cost.
• Communicate FOH-BOH needs and timing.
• Hire, onboard, train, and develop BOH staff.
• Promote teamwork across teams.
• Work varied shifts including weekends and travel as needed.
• Move and lift up to 50 pounds.
