  • We are hiring immediately for full-time SOUS CHEF positions.
  • Location: Cigna STL - 1 Express Way, St Louis, MO 63121. Note: online applications accepted only.
  • Schedule: Full-time; Days may vary. 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. More details upon interview.
  • Requirement: Two years of culinary experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Internal Employee Referral Bonus Available
  • Pay Range: $19.00 to $21.00 per hour

Job Summary

Assist the Executive Chef in preparing and cooking foods, coordinate activities of kitchen staff, and assume responsibilities in the absence of the Executive Chef.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Cook and prepare food following approved recipes and standards.
  • Supervise hourly food service associates, including interviewing, scheduling, training, and performance reviews.
  • Store food properly following safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Ensure proper food handling, presentation, and temperature maintenance.
  • Maintain sanitation of equipment and work areas.
  • Interact with customers to resolve complaints and relay information.
  • Understand and explain menu items to associates and customers.
  • Monitor inventory, deliveries, and waste.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
