Job Summary

Summary: Assist the Executive Chef in preparing and cooking foods, coordinate activities of kitchen staff, and assume responsibilities in the absence of the Executive Chef.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare food following recipes and standards, meeting deadlines.
  • Supervise food service staff, including interviewing, scheduling, training, and performance reviews.
  • Store food safely, following sanitation procedures.
  • Ensure proper food handling, presentation, and temperature.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of equipment and work areas.
  • Interact with customers to resolve complaints and relay information.
  • Understand and explain menu items.
  • Monitor inventory and supplies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
