Job summary

Creative Dining Services is seeking a full-time Sous Chef to join the Dordt University campus dining team in Sioux Center, IA. The role covers Monday through Friday with weekends as needed, planning and directing food preparation and supervising staff.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, with culinary arts degree preferred and 1–3 years cooking and supervisory experience. First Aid training is a plus.

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Culinary Arts Degree preferred.
• 1–3 years cooking experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• First Aid training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Time food production such that all food is ready at the time of service.
• Supervise and train staff.
• Read and understand Function Sheets for menus and time of functions.
• Produce and maintain prep sheets and duty rosters.
• Utilize batch cooking techniques to avoid over or under production. If work shift requires, properly open and/or close the kitchen.

Creative Dining Services located on the Dordt University campus in Sioux Center, IA is looking for a full-time Sous Chefto work Monday - Friday plus weekends.
