Job summary

Creative Dining Services is hiring a full-time Cook for Dordt University's Defender Deli in Sioux Center, IA. The shift runs Monday through Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm, with a focus on high-quality, properly seasoned meals prepared in a safe kitchen.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years cooking experience; a High School diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required. We offer benefits including health coverage, retirement with company match, PTO, holidays, and quarterly bonuses.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years cooking experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Time food production to ensure service readiness.
• Prepare items per recipes to preserve freshness and appeal.
• Utilize batch cooking to control production.
• Follow safe food handling techniques at all times.
• Label and store food with proper dating.
• Maintain temperatures and logs for safety and quality.
• Keep work area clean and sanitized.
• Assist with kitchen operations and inventory as needed.
