Work Schedule: M-F 5:00am- 2:30pm (Flex Scheduling)

Salary Range: $50,000 - $55,000 / year

Job Summary

As a Sous Chef I, you will assist in the overall success of the food program and oversee culinary functions. Your responsibilities include planning, ordering, inventory management, and food preparation, ensuring adherence to client culture, health regulations, and company standards for food quality, freshness, and presentation. You will also motivate, train, develop, and direct back-of-house associates to meet operational objectives and customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Assist in preparing and cooking various food items.
  2. Help plan and create menus.
  3. Implement new culinary programs in collaboration with marketing and culinary teams.
  4. Manage cost controls and expenditures.
  5. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of related culinary experience, including at least 1 year in a management role.
  • Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, healthcare, or related food services.
  • Knowledge of food industry trends, quality standards, sanitation, safety, food cost controls, and presentation.
  • Ability to set up and distribute production sheets.
  • Strong supervisory, leadership, training, management, and coaching skills.
  • ServSafe or Department of Health Certification preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts preferred.
