Job summary

Silver Ventures is seeking a skilled Sous Chef to manage morning through dinner service, including banquets, at a prominent San Antonio property. You will ensure production meets high standards, mentor line staff, and step in for the Executive Chef when needed.

The role requires a strong background in large-scale kitchens, health and safety certifications, and the ability to adapt to variable schedules while maintaining guest satisfaction and quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; college education is not required.
• Experience in established hotels, resorts, or freestanding restaurants is required.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule based on business levels.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all culinary operations at The Hotel Emma when on duty.
• Prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner, supervise staff meals, and assist in banquet production.
• Manage food and labor costs, ensure efficient product usage and meet safety standards.
• Train staff on cooking basics, organization, sanitation, and high-level techniques.
• Monitor inventory, equipment, and station readiness to ensure timely service.
