Responsibilities
  • Run BOH shifts and ensure effective operations including food prep, cooking, inventory management, and supervising the kitchen, dish, and BOH teams
  • Lead BOH pre-shift meetings, participate in line, temp, and cooler checks, and conduct food tastings
  • Partner with GM and/or designated managers/chefs to review and maintain recipe books
  • Perform regular line checks to ensure quality of all menu items
  • Purchase and order food products and supplies, including daily orders
  • Assist with tracking and controlling food costs
  • Ensure effective communication between FOH and BOH regarding food production, timing, and special requests
  • Partner with GM and management to interview, hire, onboard, train, supervise, and develop BOH employees
  • Promote teamwork across all teams
  • Handle guest, vendor, and employee challenges with tact and courtesy
  • Work various shifts, including early mornings, late nights, and weekends, possibly with overnight travel
  • Move and lift up to 10 pounds frequently, up to 25 pounds regularly, and up to 50 pounds occasionally
Qualifications
  • 2-3 years of sous chef experience in a full-service restaurant
  • Ability to lead and manage kitchen staff

Salary Range: USD $55,000.00 - USD $75,000.00 per year
