Job summary

Flower Child in Gilbert, AZ is seeking a Sous Chef to lead operations in a high-volume setting, ensuring smooth kitchen workflow and exceptional guest experiences.

You will manage shifts, coach a team, monitor costs, and uphold quality and cleanliness. Proficiency with POS systems and OpenTable is expected. This role offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years high-volume restaurant management experience.
• Strong understanding of business operations and financials.
• Experience scheduling and managing daily shifts.
• Ability to create memorable dining experiences for guests.
• Knowledge of POS systems and OpenTable (or similar)

Responsibilities

• Manage shifts including scheduling and planning.
• Coach, lead and develop restaurant team.
• Drive continuous improvement in operations and guest service.
• Maintain product quality and restaurant cleanliness.
• Ensure calm, effective performance in a high-volume environment.
• Respond to on‑the‑fly requests with poise and speed.
• Understand and monitor restaurant costs and labor targets.
• Oversee consistency of guest experiences across service periods.
• Utilize POS and reservation systems to optimize seating and flow.
• Foster teamwork and positive communication across staff.
