Job summary

IREN is seeking a Technical Sourcing Manager, Server & Storage Platforms in San Francisco to own multimillion-dollar partnerships with major OEM/ODM vendors. You will lead negotiations, pricing strategy, and supply commitments to accelerate data center builds and AI compute programs.

You’ll collaborate across engineering, operations, finance, and legal to manage risk, forecast demand, and shape sourcing roadmaps for GPU/CPU platforms. This role offers autonomy and executive visibility.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in technical sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management.
• Experience sourcing compute or storage hardware from OEM/ODM partners.
• Ability to build cost models, TCO analyses, and forecasts under pressure.
• Strong collaboration with engineering, operations, finance, and legal.

Responsibilities

• Own OEM/ODM compute sourcing relationships end-to-end, including negotiations and contracts.
• Drive sourcing of servers, GPUs, storage, and related components for AI compute racks.
• Track GPUs/CPUs/memory supplies and preempt shortages to keep projects on schedule.
• Partner with Engineering, Data Center Operations, and Program Management to align timelines.
• Lead RFQ/RFP processes and develop cost models and total cost analyses.
• Negotiate master purchase agreements, SLAs, warranties, and maintenance terms.
• Monitor product roadmaps and align sourcing with next-gen hardware generations.
• Manage supplier performance, including delivery and quality, with quarterly reviews.
• Create demand forecasts with finance to optimize PO timing and volumes.
• Hunt for cost-savings and mitigation opportunities through strategic sourcing.
