Job summary

SpaceX seeks a world-class Sourcing Manager in Austin, TX to own end-to-end sourcing strategy and delivery of rack-level cooling and mechanicals for SpaceXAI compute and network hardware. You will partner with engineers, thermal architects, and rack teams to define commodity strategy, optimize SOWs, and drive cost efficiency with unprecedented scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of experience in one or more areas listed in qualifications.
• 4+ years in global supply chain, commodity management, or mechanical sourcing focused on racks/cooling hardware.

Responsibilities

• Partner with engineers and rack teams to define commodity strategy and roadmaps for rack cooling and mechanicals.
• Own end-to-end global sourcing, supplier qualification, multi-sourcing, capacity reservation, and performance governance.
• Define and negotiate SOWs and commercial agreements to optimize cost, capacity, and reliability.
• Drive should-cost modeling, design-for-manufacturability reviews, and long-term pricing to reduce cost of ownership.
• Act as supplier interface for RFIs/RFPs/RFQs and visit factories to assess capabilities and capacity.
• Monitor industry trends and mitigate long-lead and sole-source risks before deployment.
