Job summary

Weber Blackstone is seeking a Manager, Sourcing Metals & Fabrication in Palatine, IL to lead sourcing strategy for raw materials, metals, and fabricated components. You will own supplier identification, evaluation, negotiation, and performance management, partnering with Engineering, Operations, Supply Planning, Quality and Finance to enable new product launches.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Business or Engineering (Master’s preferred), with 6–10 years in Purchasing or Strategic

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 6–10 years in Purchasing, Strategic Sourcing, or Supply Chain in a consumer products, high-volume manufacturing environment.
• People management experience is a plus.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification a plus.
• Project management experience required

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive sourcing and category strategies for raw materials, metals, and fabricated components.
• Lead supplier identification, qualification, evaluation, selection, negotiation, and awards.
• Establish and manage supplier performance with KPIs and scorecards.
• Lead commercial negotiations for raw materials and fabricated components.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Supply Planning, Quality, Finance, and Product Development to support new product development from concept through launch.
• Engage suppliers early to ensure material availability and risk mitigation in sourcing and design decisions.
