Richardson Electronics, Ltd. in LaFox, Illinois seeks a hands-on Sourcing Manager to lead supplier identification, quotations, and cost-reduction initiatives across engineering, quality, and manufacturing.

You will own RFQs, negotiate terms, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure supplier capability, lead times, and cost targets are met. This role emphasizes strategic sourcing and supply-chain risk management.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Engineering, Operations, or related field.
• Approximately 5+ years of progressive experience in sourcing, purchasing, procurement, supplier development, or manufacturing supply chain.
• Experience sourcing engineered components and working from drawings, specifications, or customer requirements.
• Experience managing RFQs, comparing supplier quotations, analyzing procurement costs, and negotiating terms.
• Working knowledge of purchase orders, purchasing processes, supplier management, and ERP/MRP systems.
• Strong Excel, analytical, negotiation, project-management, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsabilidades

• Partner with Engineering on sourcing requirements for new products, prototypes, and customer-specific needs.
• Identify suppliers with capacity, lead times, quality systems, and cost structure suitable for engineered components.
• Issue and manage RFQs, analyze responses, and prepare sourcing recommendations.
• Support prototype, tooling, and qualification purchases for new product introductions.
• Lead alternate-source development to reduce supply risk and dependency.
• Coordinate with Engineering and Quality through supplier and part qualification.
• Negotiate pricing, tooling, lead times, MOQs, and other commercial terms.
• Place purchase orders for prototypes, samples, and production requirements as needed.
• Lead cross-functional sourcing projects across departments; communicate status to management.
