Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sourcing Manager for electro-mechanical commodities focused on Starlink Aviation. The role leads supplier development, cost management, and strategic sourcing for satellites, subsystems, and ground stations.

You will mentor a team, report weekly to leadership, and collaborate with internal partners to optimize spend and delivery performance. The position requires travel up to 30% and is based on site in Redmond, WA, with a comprehensive rewards package including stock

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in engineering, purchasing, negotiating contracts, or material planning.
• Experience in cost control, master production scheduling, or operations management is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the supply base to support sourcing for SpaceX Starlink aerospace platforms.
• Provide weekly status reporting to management.
• Train and mentor the team to continuously improve.
• Collaborate with key suppliers to drive sourcing, cost management, and delivery.
• Work with internal stakeholders on capital purchases and production consumables.
