Job summary

Pets + People is seeking a Sourcing Manager in New York City to collaborate with the Director of Sourcing on strategies and key initiatives that support financial goals, while streamlining SOPs and workflows for new vendor and COO initiatives.

You will manage multiple sourcing activities with on-time deliverables and build strong relationships with suppliers and cross-functional partners to drive data-based decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 3–5 years in sourcing, product management, or operations.
• Project management experience.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to take direction, follow-through and meet deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Planning, organizational and time management skills.
• Strong data analytics; familiarity with a PLM system.
• Ability to see the big picture while attending to details.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows OS.

Responsibilities

• Build effective relationships with cross-functional partners, internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Develop data-driven understanding of the business.
• Execute sourcing initiatives to support department priorities.
• Provide innovative and strategic solutions to sourcing challenges such as tariffs and the trade environment.
• Maintain Supplier Matrix & Vendor Scorecards.
• Track sample development, costing, and timeline status.
• Plan sourcing initiatives related to new product launches and calendars.
• Manage special projects as needed.
