Job summary

MS Shift, Inc. is seeking a Purchasing Director to lead strategic sourcing and supplier management in our fast-paced environment in New York.

You will drive procurement strategy, vendor selection, contract negotiations, and performance monitoring to ensure cost efficiency and quality across the company. Responsibilities include budgeting, demand planning, inventory oversight, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations while building strong supplier relationships to support long-term

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.
• Strong negotiation, contract management, and vendor relationship skills.
• Knowledge of procurement best practices, market trends, and cost reduction strategies.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, data analysis, and financial forecasting.
• Knowledge of import/export regulations and supply chain logistics (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies to meet business objectives.
• Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers and vendors.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to ensure cost efficiency and quality standards.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to enhance business partnerships.
• Monitor supplier performance, ensuring compliance with contractual agreements and quality standards.

• Optimize procurement costs by identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Analyze market trends, pricing fluctuations, and risk factors affecting procurement.
• Prepare and manage the purchasing budget, ensuring alignment with company goals.
• Inventory & Supply Chain
• Ensure a steady supply of materials while minimizing excess inventory and waste.
• Oversee demand forecasting and procurement planning.
• Compliance & Reporting
• Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.
• Maintain accurate records and generate reports on purchasing performance, cost savings, and supplier efficiency.
