Job summary

Truststone Group, LLC, a New York-based wholesale and design company, is seeking a highly organized Sourcing Manager to lead all sourcing efforts across the organization. You will work with executive leadership to cost and secure products from concept to production, across multiple consumer categories.

The role requires managing high SKU volumes, strong factory relationships, and extensive travel internationally (including China), while maintaining speed and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of sourcing/procurement experience in wholesale or consumer goods.
• Experience sourcing across multiple product categories; electronics experience preferred.
• Strong cost understanding, negotiation, and supplier management.
• Advanced Excel and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing across all product categories including consumer electronics, beauty, home, kitchen, outdoor, LED, and general merchandise.
• Evaluate and vet factories for reliability, quality, and cost.
• Build and maintain relationships with overseas suppliers, mainly in China.
• Collaborate with leadership to align sourcing strategy with business needs and product direction.
• Own product costing across materials, packaging, production, and logistics.
• Negotiate pricing, MOQs, timelines, and production terms with suppliers.
• Manage sourcing and costing for high SKU volumes across categories.
• Communicate with factories to ensure timing and specs are met.

Overview

A New York-based wholesale and design company is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Sourcing Manager to lead all sourcing efforts across the organization. This individual will work closely with executive leadership to identify, cost, and secure products across multiple consumer categories, ensuring accuracy, speed, and efficiency from concept through production.

The ideal candidate has experience in a fast-paced wholesale environment, can operate across multiple product categories simultaneously, and is comfortable managing high SKU volumes while maintaining strong factory relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing efforts across all product categories including consumer electronics, beauty, home, kitchen, outdoor, LED, and general merchandise
• Identify, evaluate, and vet factories to determine reliability, quality, and cost effectiveness
• Build and maintain strong relationships with overseas suppliers, primarily in China
• Partner closely with leadership to align sourcing strategy with business needs and product direction

Costing & Product Development Support

• Own product costing across all components including materials, packaging, production, and logistics
• Ensure all costings are accurate and aligned prior to production to avoid errors or delays
• Negotiate pricing, MOQs, timelines, and production terms with suppliers
• Maintain a deep understanding of cost drivers across multiple product categories

Operational Execution

• Manage sourcing and costing across a high volume of SKUs simultaneously
• Work fluidly across categories without sacrificing accuracy or speed
• Deliver timely updates and responses, often within tight 24-hour turnaround expectations
• Maintain detailed and organized records using Excel and internal systems

Factory Communication & Coordination

• Communicate consistently with overseas factories, including off-hours due to time zone differences
• Follow up proactively on pricing, samples, timelines, and product specifications
• Ensure clear communication to prevent errors or misunderstandings during production handoff

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with production, compliance, and product development teams to ensure seamless transition from sourcing to production
• Support compliance awareness by understanding basic regulatory requirements and factoring them into sourcing decisions
• Align with internal stakeholders to ensure sourcing supports both customer expectations and operational execution
• Travel internationally (including China) to visit factories, attend trade shows, and evaluate suppliers
• Stay current on product trends, manufacturing capabilities, and sourcing opportunities

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or product development within a wholesale or consumer goods company
• Experience sourcing across multiple product categories; consumer electronics experience strongly preferred
• Strong supplier network and experience working with overseas factories, particularly in China
• Deep understanding of product costing, negotiation, and supplier management
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and strong organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage global relationships across time zones
• Ability to manage high SKU volume in a fast-paced environment without sacrificing attention to detail
• Willingness to travel internationally as needed
