Responsibilities

Role Overview: Client is seeking an experienced Sourcing Manager with a strong background in finished-goods sourcing and new product development within consumer, commercial, industrial, or related product environments. This person must have experience owning the sourcing lifecycle from product concept and engineering drawings through supplier identification, RFQ, cost analysis, design-for-manufacturing review, prototyping, tooling, product validation, pilot production, and full commercialization. The key distinction for this role is that client is looking for someone with true sourcing experience - not someone whose background is primarily purchasing, procurement administration, raw materials, indirect goods, or PO management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead sourcing strategy for finished goods and contract-manufactured products.
• Identify and qualify new domestic and international manufacturers.
• Manage supplier selection from initial sourcing through commercialization.
• Run RFQs and analyze supplier proposals, pricing, and commercial terms.

Must-Have Experience:

• Bachelor's degree.
• 8+ years of sourcing experience.
• Strong global sourcing experience.

• Experience sourcing complete products rather than only raw materials or individual components.
• Experience identifying and qualifying new manufacturers.
• Strong new product development experience.
• Experience taking products from concept through commercialization.
• Strong RFQ, negotiation, supplier management, and cost-analysis experience.
• Experience working directly with overseas and domestic contract manufacturers.
• Ability to partner closely with Engineering/R&D.
