Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Product Sourcing Engineer intern to help shape supplier networks and manage costs across product lifecycles. You will collaborate with engineering, quality, and manufacturing to optimize supplier selection, TCO, and ramp planning.

This in-person 12-week internship requires pursuing an engineering degree and returning to school after the internship; candidates must be able to work in one of our offices in summer 2027.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Must be returning to school at the end of the internship to continue academic studies for at least one quarter or semester.
• Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities; U.S. clearance eligibility may be required depending on program.
• Ability to complete a 12-week in-person internship in one of our offices in summer 2027.

Responsibilities

• Conduct supplier selection for a specific product, leveraging approved supplier list.
• Partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development via activities such as concept scoping, trade‑offs, and TCO modeling.
• Develop and execute on sourcing strategy via full market knowledge, supplier rationalization, commodity pricing plan and effective principles.
• Drive the development and consolidation of a manufacturing BOM, working with Quality & Manufacturing, to ramp production internally and with our suppliers with high flexibility.
• Be accountable for all NPI component procurement, on-time and correctly, to scale up manufacturing operations.
• Manage the request for and associated verification of supplier related CAPEX throughout NPI.
• Conduct value‑stream mapping to optimize supply network lead time and flexibility.
• Complete the BOM risk assessment and develop plan per part analysis.
• Follow through completion of component qualifications by relevant stakeholders, ahead of production need dates.
• Reduce complexity of supply chain through commonality optimization & component/supplier rationalization.
• Lead all cost engineering activities to converge the bottoms‑up cost curve to product cost, maximizing the total cost of ownership (TCO) across the product lifecycle.
• Manage ad‑hoc cost issues e.g., tariffs / import export cost, and cost inflation.
• Drive the design and implementation of new supply chain processes and systems, ensuring they meet business requirements and are built for scale.
• Manage project schedules, identify critical path activities, and proactively identify and mitigate risks to keep initiatives on track.
• Hold project teams and stakeholders accountable for deliverables and deadlines, navigating organizational complexity to clear roadblocks and drive decisions.
• Establish program structure, milestones, and operating rhythms to ensure accountability and drive results across the business.
• Drive alignment across stakeholders and influence without formal authority in ambiguous, high‑stakes situations.
