Job summary

Revelyst is seeking a highly technical Sourcing Engineer to join our Product Development team in Carlsbad, CA. You will partner with Engineering to select components, evaluate suppliers, and optimize manufacturability for next-generation golf technology products.

You will drive DFM/DFC initiatives, support prototypes and NPI, and collaborate across Engineering, Operations and Quality to mitigate risk and ensure scalable production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in product development, supplier engineering, manufacturing engineering, NPI, or related role.
• Experience with consumer electronics, connected devices, sporting goods, or complex hardware.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, CAD models, specs, schematics, and BOMs.
• Strong understanding of plastics, metals, electronics, PCB assemblies, and electromechanical systems.
• Knowledge of DFM, DFA, tolerance analysis, FMEA, and root-cause problem-solving.
• Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Excellent communication across Engineering, Operations, Quality, and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Engineering to identify components, tech, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Research emerging technologies and suppliers to improve performance, quality, cost and time-to-market.
• Support component selection and architecture decisions during design.
• Collaborate with Electrical, Mechanical, and Firmware teams to optimize manufacturability and reliability.
• Participate in design reviews and provide sourcing and manufacturing expertise.
• Evaluate supplier capabilities and processes to align with product requirements.
• Support prototype builds, validation testing, pilot production, and NPI activities.
• Identify risks early and propose mitigation strategies.
• Support DFM, DFA, and DFC initiatives; resolve issues with Quality and Manufacturing.
• Assist BOM development and lifecycle management; qualify alternative parts.

The Sourcing Engineer serves as a key partner to Engineering, helping identify, evaluate, and integrate components, technologies, and manufacturing solutions that enable innovative product development.
