Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Sourcing Intern to learn supplier management, data analytics, and cross-functional collaboration while supporting real-world sourcing processes and continuous improvement initiatives.

You will gain exposure to dashboards, standard work, and tools used to drive supplier performance and cost productivity while partnering with Finance, Engineering, Manufacturing, Materials, Quality, and Legal teams.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university as a Freshman, Sophomore, or Junior.
• Pursuing a degree in Data Analytics, Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Engineering, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Demonstrated academic achievement and interest in building business, sourcing, or supply chain experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Legal authorization to work in the country where the internship is based, as required by local law and program guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Support sourcing projects related to supplier management, data analysis, process improvement, sustainability, and operational execution.
• Assist with supplier research, spend analysis, purchase order review, savings tracking, and sourcing performance reporting.
• Learn and apply sourcing tools, dashboards, and standard work to help teams make informed business decisions.
• Collaborate with Sourcing, Finance, Engineering, Manufacturing, Materials, Quality, Legal, and other business partners as needed.
• Help prepare presentations, trackers, summaries, and project updates for team meetings and leadership reviews.
• Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to simplify work, improve data quality, and strengthen process discipline.
• Participate in team meetings, intern learning experiences, development activities, and networking opportunities.
