Job summary

GE Vernova, Inc. is seeking a Sourcing Intern to learn supplier relationships, data analytics, and procurement processes within the energy industry.

You will gain hands-on experience by supporting projects across supplier management, spend analysis, and reporting while working with cross‑functional partners. You will develop professional skills through guided assignments, team engagement, and leadership reviews, while contributing to continuous improvement efforts and data quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university as a Freshman, Sophomore, or Junior.
• Pursuing a degree in Data Analytics, Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Engineering, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Demonstrated academic achievement and interest in building business, sourcing, or supply chain experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Legal authorization to work in the country where the internship is based, as required by local law and program guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Support sourcing projects related to supplier management, data analysis, process improvement, sustainability, and operational execution.
• Assist with supplier research, spend analysis, purchase order review, savings tracking, and sourcing performance reporting.
• Learn and apply sourcing tools, dashboards, and standard work to help teams make informed business decisions.
• Collaborate with Sourcing, Finance, Engineering, Manufacturing, Materials, Quality, Legal, and other business partners as needed.
• Help prepare presentations, trackers, summaries, and project updates for team meetings and leadership reviews.
• Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to simplify work, improve data quality, and strengthen process discipline.
• Participate in team meetings, intern learning experiences, development activities, and networking opportunities.

As a Sourcing Intern at GE Vernova, you will support critical procurement, supplier engagement, and analytics initiatives. This role offers students in supply chain or engineering fields the opportunity to drive process improvements and gain hands‑on experience within the energy industry.

Job Description

The Sourcing Intern will work with GE Vernova sourcing professionals to learn how supplier relationships, data, compliance, and operational execution support business priorities. The role provides exposure to real‑world sourcing processes, cross‑functional collaboration, and tools used to support supplier performance, cost productivity, delivery, quality, cash, and continuous improvement outcomes.
