Job summary

Broadridge in South Windsor, CT is seeking a Sorting Machine Operator to set up and run high-speed presort equipment, preparing mail for USPS acceptance and ensuring customer requirements are met.

The role reports to a supervisor and requires attention to detail, adherence to quality standards, and the ability to work with urgency. Flexibility in schedule and potential overtime are included in the position.

Qualifications

• Experience in a production environment, with knowledge of postage rates and material confirmation.
• Experience in the operation of material insert machines is necessary.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Broadridge is growing. We are currently hiring a Sorting Machine Operator for our South Windsor, CT location.

Basic Purpose: Set up and run high-speed presort equipment, preparing mail for acceptance by the USPS and ensuring all customer requirements are met. Reports to supervisor.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ability to follow in-depth work instructions and keep the machine running at the optimal pace for each job.
• Set up and operation of high speed, automated computer-controlled equipment, including performance of preventative maintenance and authorized repairs.
• Monitors and is responsible for quality throughout each job. Completes all required documentation relevant to every job.
• Follows all departmental and safety procedures.
• May perform other duties/responsibilities as needed or assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience within a production environment, with knowledge of postage rates and material confirmation
• Experience in the operation of material insert machines is necessary.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Requirements:

• Demonstrates the ability to work with a sense of urgency while prioritizing tasks to meet or adjust to changing demands.
• Requires standing for 12-hour shifts, pulling, pushing and lifting up to 70 lbs.
• Flexibility in work schedule, based on volume needs, which could require weekends, holidays and/or overtime
• Promote a professional work environment and adhere to all Broadridge's policies.

Shift: LWD: 6 am to 6 pm

Hourly rate: $18.75 hourly- Bonus Eligible
